 The US will Continue War with Russia

The Americans have nothing to lose... Nothing at all, even if the war in Ukraine lasts another 10 years. It is the Ukrainians who are dying, they will continue to suffer. If anybody else who would suffer, it will be European nations who are supporting the US. In fact, the U.S. is 5,000 miles away and has provided some military support, but not enough to make a difference in the war. A similar tepid support has come from the European nations. They are more vocal while controlling the airwaves & internet, but not enough military support to make a difference. Russia has already built a land bridge from Crimean to Russia and no power either US or European can take it away from them. As a matter of fact, Crimea had been a Russian territory for the last 300 years. Only about 90 years back for administrative reasons, it was transferred to Ukraine by Stalin. They have now taken it back.

The US involvement is to inflict as much military and economic pain on Russia as possible. All those economic sanctions and freezing of assets, including $600 billion Russian money in the Western banks is part of the US’s economic fight with Russia. They do not want Russia to become the kind of superpower, it was before 1991. Now, the new leader Vladimir Putin is trying to achieve the same status by challenging the United States. 

On the military side, much of what Russia wanted to achieve in Ukraine has been done. Now the fight is to conserve it and perhaps seize the port of Odessa on the Black Sea. Under the present circumstances, the United States and NATO cannot reach the Russian border. The bulk of the region is under Russian control. The West will continue its campaign to propagate superficial Ukrainian victories, but to no avail. Most battles have nearly ended. 

Now, the new fight will be on the economic front where this winter, the Russians will turn off the energy supplies on one excuse or the other. European countries have stockpiled some supplies, but not enough to last thru the winter. After that, there is no alternative but to settle with Russia. Then the U.S. will be unable to do anything. The Arab countries do not have a surplus of oil and gas and a supply mechanism to get Europe out of its shortage. 

Like it or not Russia has come out ahead here.

We are back to Obama Administration

  We are back to Obama Administration with Joe Biden as president now. Most of his men are ex Obamaites. Does America have to recreate not so smart Administration of the bygone era.
