 Ukraine‘s hardline attitude…..


This war in Ukraine will not end soon. I refuse to believe that Russia will allow Ukraine to slip into US/NATO fold. Hence a few Ukrainian victories aside, the war does not favour Ukraine. President Zelensky is mislead completely. He prefers to rule the rubble than a well managed state.

‘’Are Sanctions Working?”

It is 6 weeks that the strictest of the much heralded sanctions by US and NATO countries were imposed on Russia. The sanctions were not only on import and export but also froze assets very cleverly held by the West belonging to Russia. They froze including cannot withdraw $700 billion held by Russia in various financial instruments. All banking transactions by Russia and to Russia were put on a hold Etc. The US assumption was these sanctions will cripple Russia and they would hastily retreat and say sorry…… not really.

Six weeks since the sanctions, the war is continuing unabated. Russia is very close to establish a land bridge from Crimean to Russia. Furthermore in not too distant future, Russia will capture Odessa port and make Ukraine into a land locked country……. Bad for Ukraine. …… Yes, Ukraine can count a few victories of their own including sinking of a big ship in Black Sea, 300 tanks destroyed by flying UAVs and Missiles and 7,000 Russian dead. The reverse side is that Ukraine has lost half of its country and will become bone of contention between the two powers until US and Russia settle the fight.

The oil dependency of Europe…

Europe is totally dependent on Russia for energy including oil and coal. It cannot shake off this dependency no matter what and how many sanctions US and NATO imposes on Russia. US can try and supply oil but whatever can be taken out of the ground is already out on a daily basis. Any more would require fracking and more search which is time consuming. Moreover the US Democratic Party has erected laws against fracking hence without changing those laws they cannot take out more oil.

Handling and Shipping cost will add additional burden to all oil & gas shipped from US. My question…….. Will Europe pay 50% more cost per barrel for oil. Alternative is to stop this American sponsored war and continue purchasing easy piped oil from Russia.

The West’s propaganda is that $3.5 billion military aid to Ukraine and crippling sanctions on Russia will stop the war. Well, It has not and is unlikely in the near future until Russian objective of keeping Ukraine neutral is met.

We are back to Obama Administration

  We are back to Obama Administration with Joe Biden as president now. Most of his men are ex Obamaites. Does America have to recreate not so smart Administration of the bygone era. Yes, Obama smiled a lot which convinced the people that everything is OK. Not true......... China captured all the South China Sea, hence shipping and security of that region is in doubt.
