Meaningless Political Misalignment in US

Misalignment in American politics is so great in the last year or two that a non shooting civil war is in progress. Democrats are fighting the Republican President. As well, within the Democratic Party, the progressives are fighting the old guards. Because the Republicans are under pressure, they are a bit more unified than the Democrats. 

Back to the Democrats pressure on the Republicans, it all started when their all favorite Hillary Clinton, the Democrat lost to an underdog Donald Trump, the Republican. Democrats and Hillary Clinton could not stomach that defeat and began searching for issues to unseat the elected president. To favor them, but not so smart House Leader - Nancy Pelosi made it her mission to unseat Donald Trump. They paid and got a report composed by an untrustworthy British intelligence officer in Moscow to somehow uncover a conspiracy which defeated Hillary Clinton. Pelosi made it her mission to pursue and look into it. The former Director of FBI, now retreated, was hired to investigate. For two years, he and his large staff could not find the links between Moscow and Trump campaign. When this failed, Pelosi went around looking for any other issue. A National Security Council staffer, identity still unknown was persuaded to say something against Trump and his Whitehouse functioning. An issue of hold back of economic or military assistance to Ukraine was an issue which the NSC staffer knew had happened and he was present during the conversation. The issue was simply an undue advantage given to the former Vice President’s son (Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son) in nominating him to a million dollar job without adequate experience. It would seem a pure favoritism, but Pelosi thought that withholding aid was a larger crime than appointing her own party’s ex Vice President’s son to a very high position with high salary, although it would seem  as favoritism). Trump wished it investigated. It could help him remove the former Vice Presiden from the upcoming presidential race.  

Pelosi had a few spots but not serious enough to warrant FBI investigation, but she was the majority leader of The Congress lower house, she can begin her own investigation. 

Investigating what?...... appointing a party leader’s son or misdemeanor charge of withholding aid to Ukraine. The latter charge had political overtones. She could force an impeachment proceedings against the President. Five months of congressional investigation with witnesses, majority Democrats cried out that a misdemeanor has occurred and the President be impeached. She knew very well that she and the Democrats will fail in the US Senate because the President has a majority there. It did fail ultimately and this drama with its very political overtones is supposed to end. Pelosi it would seem has not had enough, she still wishes to continue pressing misdemeanor charges and seek future impeachment proceeding, but of no usage.

An immediate impact of this stupidity was on the front runner for 2020 presidential race, Joe Biden, the other actor of this drama. He succumbed to the fourth position in Iowa State Democratic primaries.  People are beginning to believe that misdemeanor has occurred, but not by the President. It is appointing a less than a smart son to a million dollar job. This dismal state of affair in otherwise a very honest and calm US election process where much of the campaign and the arguments are over the TV or other media lines has instigated people to come out and express support for one side or the other on the streets.

The victorious President Trump of this saga is savoring his win. There is no winning candidate left within the Democratic Party to challenge Trump in the November elections. An outsider like Hillary Clinton again or the former New York City Mayor Bloomberg will find themselves in the election heat. Who knows what will happen, but the American democracy has wounded itself in the process. There is just one person responsible for it and that is - Nancy Pelosi. Soon challenges to her position will rise in the Democratic Party. She may not have the coveted job which she has it today.

 The West Asian QUAD and China  It is comprised of four countries: the United States, India, Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The name West Asian QUAD is poorly chosen. In fact, this is an International Forum on Economic Cooperation also known as I2U2. It has American blessings, but no formal declaration.
