Tunnels in Shimla

  Tunnels in Shimla Shimla’s life-line is the Cart Road is also known as the Circular Road. Both commerce and pedestrians follow this pathway. Built around 1860 from Kalka to Shimla to move the government from Kolkata to Shimla each year, it had also become the life-line for commerce and people. Although the road begins at Kalka but only the area around Shimla is called the Cart Road, but it continues all the way to Shipki Pass at the China border with road designated as NH22. It was widened from its initial 20 feet width, several times during 1860 to 1920 period up to Shimla. Beyond that, it remained this 20-foot route until around the 1950s. It was later extended and made motorisable. The construction of this road was no easy task because the mountains and their spurs stood on the path. Lies what China Perpetuate

  Chinese Propaganda War on India and Others. After the Chinese lost the battle of LAC to India in August 29/30, when India occupied Kailash Heights in Ladakh, the Chinese launched their propaganda offensive. They were unable to get the height(s) vacated hence propaganda was the only battle tactic they were left with. Their English language mouthpiece The Global Times was one of the key weapon. Furthermore, they have built an enormous network of influence in western media by spending an average of $10 billion a year over the past 10 to 12 years to get their point of view, no matter how false, broadcast or printed. In the past six weeks, there have been four glaring examples, three against India and one against Australia. 1. It was a surprise that a respected London media outlet, "The Times," wrote an outright lie that the Chinese were using a "direct energy weapon" (microwave) at the LAC to chase Indian troops from the hills.  The West Asian QUAD and China  It is comprised of four countries: the United States, India, Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The name West Asian QUAD is poorly chosen. In fact, this is an International Forum on Economic Cooperation also known as I2U2. It has American blessings, but no formal declaration. Israel capitalized on the warming of relations with some Arab countries and with American blessings invited India, the great power of the region, to participate also. See the parallel of US policy of 1950s when US in West Asia and South East Asia created Baghdad Pact, later called Central Treaty Organization (CENTO) and South East Asian Treaty Organization (SEATO). They were military agreements to prevent a Soviet takeover of the countries of West, South and East Asia.
